Welcome to Buzz. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Buzz mobile application and associated services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Buzz (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Buzz. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using Buzz on behalf of a building or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
To use Buzz, you must create an account using a valid email address and authentication method. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You may only create one account per person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are duplicates or have been created fraudulently.

The Service is designed to assist with building access management — it is not a security system, alarm system, or surveillance system. Buzz does not guarantee that every delivery will be detected or that every access decision will be correct.
Buzz integrates with third-party access systems including DoorBird intercoms, ButterflyMX systems, and Seam-compatible smart locks. By connecting an access system to Buzz —
We are not responsible for any unauthorized entry, theft, property damage, or personal injury that may result from the use of automated access features. You should not rely on Buzz as your sole means of building security.
If you connect your Gmail or Outlook account, Buzz will read incoming emails from supported delivery platform sender addresses to detect delivery notifications. Specifically —

The Service — including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding — is owned by Buzz and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited license to use it as described herein.
You retain ownership of any content you provide to the Service (reference photos, feedback, etc.). By providing content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
Buzz relies on third-party services to function — including Firebase (Google Cloud), OpenAI, Microsoft Graph, Gmail API, Expo, and Seam. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of these third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
We strive to keep Buzz available and functioning — but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time — with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms in the app and updating the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND — EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

You use the Service at your own risk. You are solely responsible for any damage to your property or loss resulting from the use of automated access features.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BUZZ AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — RESULTING FROM —
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY DOLLARS ($50), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Buzz and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable attorneys’ fees — arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules — except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles County, California. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding. You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis — not as a class action or representative proceeding.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California — without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the app. We may terminate or suspend your account at any time — with or without cause and with or without notice.
Upon termination — your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but the following sections survive: Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary — and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms — together with our Privacy Policy — constitute the entire agreement between you and Buzz regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements between you and Buzz relating to the Service.
